Cutting Boards
My cutting boards are generally 12" x 18". They are finished with a beautiful food safe finish that shines. As with all my laminated boards, the corners have hardwood feet, and the ends are cut and splined. The splines not only add beauty, but prevent the boards from warping and checking, ensuring they remain flat for many years of service. They are generally made from oak, cherry, walnut, maple, zebra wood, purple heart, and padauk. These are the natural colors of the woods, no stains.
The difference between cutting and carving boards, to me, is cutting boards do not have a juice gutter around the perimeter. All boards are unique, no two boards are alike.
