Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to look around "The Wood Shop". I have been woodworking since I was 5 years old, when my Grandfather first started teaching me. He preferred to work more with his hands, than with power tools. The hours we spent hand sanding and sanding and sanding and sanding and sanding . . .

That was many moons ago. I now own 11 power sanders! (sorry Grampa). I love tools, the smell of fresh cut lumber, and the opportunity to create. Seeing something in my mind's eye, and bringing it to life. Creating. It can, at times, be quite frustrating, as well we all know, perfection is unattainable. But mostly, it is very rewarding to take an idea and a pile of material, and create something beautiful for someone.
